OBJECTIVES
- To finish the walk
- To care and motivate others around me
- To care for the environment and make sure that I don’t leave any rubbish behind
- Work collaboratively with others

The whole walk took about 3 hours, it was actually faster than we expected. At the beginning it wasn’t too bad, but after one hour everybody started to feel tired and was exhausted because of the strong heat. I was sweating, my foot started to hurt and I was really tired, but I kept myself hydrated the whole time.
When one person started complaining and seem like they wanted to give up, we motivated each other, we turned on some music so that everybody can keep going. We also had a lunched break after walking for 2 hours, and I brought some cookies and shared it, especially to the ones who looked like they needed more energy. After that we cleared all the rubbish and made sure there was no rubbish left behind, because we all care for the environment.

Taking A Break

After lunch we walked for another hour and it was the most painful hour. It was more uphill and my legs started aching, but I didn’t want to give up because I thought “I made it this far already”, so I continued walking and drank more water. During the walk, most of the time we were walking at the side of the road. This was really dangerous because the cars past us really fast and we had to be careful. I was in front of most people, so when a car is about to pass, I would shout and made sure that the people behind me was aware of it, and the others would do the same.
By the end, it took us 3 hours and after all that walk; honestly in the end I wouldn’t mind walking back to school. I enjoyed the walk. I think we worked well as a team and we all were caring. When somebody doesn’t have enough water, we would give him or her some of our own. We shared snacks and made sure everyone had a lot of energy.

After 2 hours of walking

We also made sure that no one had earphones on because it would be dangerous because you wouldn’t be able to hear when the car would be passing.
I’ve learnt that keeping yourself hydrated the whole time is important, and making sure you have enough to eat is very important as well. It is the key for you to continue and not give up, so you will achieve your goal. I’ve also learnt more how to be more careful when you are walking at the side of the road, or even when you cross the road. This can give me better ideas of how to cross the road properly (in Thailand) because I am usually really bad with crossing the road. In the future, I would like to challenge myself to run this walk. I want to know how long I would take to get there, or when I would give up.
